As the name most certainly suggests, River Heights is a gorgeous neighbourhood found in Saskatoon’s highly desirable north end, bordered to the east by the South Saskatchewan River. It is home to a friendly and thriving community of about 4,500 people, with an average home price of just over $358,000.
The view isn’t the only thing to love about River Heights—its numerous amenities and easy access to many more give it the added bonus of convenience, as well! Groceries, gas, and restaurants can be found in the neighbourhood’s Canarama Shopping Centre, while shopping, banking, and everything else you may need are just a moments away at the Lawson Heights Mall. Circle Drive, which borders the community to the south, also makes getting around the city as easy as pie.
Of course, the highlight of River Heights is in its namesake—the South Saskatchewan River, which runs along the neighbourhood to the east. In fact, over 80 acres of park space have been dedicated for the residents to enjoy exactly that—including Spadina Beach for lounging in the summer sun and taking to the water when it’s warm!
Families of River Heights have their choice of 2 schools for their children. École River Heights School offers a public, French immersion elementary program, while St. Anne School offers Catholic elementary instead.
