Questions

Good to know

Still wondering about something? Call us at (306) 653-8222.

Do I need my licence before I apply?
No. Many of our agents first talked to us while they were still deciding, or partway through the course. We will help you plan the path to licensing.
How long does it take to get licensed in Saskatchewan?
Most people take 6 to 12 months to finish the self-paced UBC Sauder courses and pass the exams. Courses and exams must be completed within two years of starting. See the full roadmap.
What does licensing cost?
The two UBC Sauder courses for a residential licence total about $3,300, plus Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission registration and a criminal record check. Fees change, so confirm current amounts with UBC Sauder and SREC.
Do I have to work under a brokerage?
Yes. Every REALTOR® in Saskatchewan must be registered under a brokerage, which is why it helps to choose yours before your exams are done.
Where would I work?
Our offices are in Saskatoon and Humboldt, with agents in Prince Albert, Warman, Martensville and the surrounding communities. See our offices.
I am licensed in another province. Can I work in Saskatchewan?
Usually, yes, if you have been active in the last two years. The Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission reviews each case, and we can walk you through the steps.
What is the first year like?
Expect a structured start: orientation, weekly training, a weekly mentor meeting and a 90-day business plan. Most new agents close their first deal three to six months after licensing.
