Licensing in Saskatchewan takes most people 6 to 12 months. Here is the path, step by step, and where CENTURY 21 Fusion fits in.
The Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission (SREC) licenses REALTORS® in the province. To register you need to be:
Education is delivered online by UBC Sauder School of Business. A residential licence needs Phase 1 (Real Estate as a Professional Career) and Phase 2 Residential, both self-paced.
Exams are written in Saskatoon, Regina and Melfort about eight times a year. The pass mark is 70%, with up to three attempts per exam.
Every REALTOR® must work under a registered brokerage. Choosing early means you can start building your business the day you are licensed.
Your brokerage helps you file your registration with the Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission, and you are licensed.
Motivated students can finish faster. Courses and exams must be completed within two years of starting Phase 1.
Phase 1 ($2,099) plus Phase 2 Residential ($1,199), as listed by UBC Sauder.
SREC registration and a criminal record check, then board dues once you are practising.
Fees change. Confirm current amounts with UBC Sauder and the Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission.
Phase 1 is the common starting point. From there, a commercial licence adds the Commercial course, a farm licence adds Farm, and property management has its own course. Many agents start in residential and add a specialty later.
If you have been active in the last two years, you can usually move your licence to Saskatchewan through SREC: confirm your eligibility, study the Saskatchewan-specific material, sign the Declaration Statement and apply. We are happy to walk you through it.
Choosing your brokerage early means you can hit the ground running. Tell us where you are in the course.
