Located 224 km southeast from Saskatoon, the RM of Wheatlands No. 163 features a strong community with a population of 149 and a population density of 0.2/km². The RM hosts the localities of Mortlach and Parkbeg. The area is also home to the burrowing owl, an endangered animal.
